What is HIFU?
HIFU is a non-surgical treatment that uses (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) technology to tighten and lift facial and body skin. This micro-focused ultrasound treatment can effectively combat signs of aging and troublesome skin laxity to create a youthful appearance on the face and body.
How does HIFU work?HIFU effectively treats the superficial and deeper skin layers, as well as the Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System (SMAS) with a triple layer lifting effect. The treatment heats up and stimulates existing collagen fibres, causing them to thicken and shorten giving you a long-term tightening and lifting effect. 

 High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound is currently the only non-invasive medical device that allows the deepest penetration of energy, targeting depths of 1.5mm, 3mm and 4.5mm, for skin lifting and tightening.

At this depth, the High Intensity Focused Ultrasound is able to lighten pigmentation and brighten the skin. The amount of melanin in the skin will reduce by a fair amount.

At 3mm, the heating of skin tissue is targeted mainly at skin tightening. Radiofrequency procedures, like Thermage and the Venus Viva Nanofractional RF, are often used for skin tightening via heating the skin. The  HIFU is also able target this depth, where structural collagen is situated, and deliver precise energy to stimulate collagen production.

4.5mm is where the lifting effect takes place. The Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System (SMAS) is usually situated at this depth. This is the layer surgeons tighten when performing a surgical face lift. This means stimulation and tightening of the SMAS layer with the HIFU will provide excellent lifting results.
What does the procedure feel like?HIFU is a comfortable procedure. Patients might feel a mild ache along bony areas, like the jawline. This is due to the ultrasound energy reflecting off the facial contours. HIFU takes approximately 60 minutes and has minimal downtime. Your skin may appear slightly flushed immediately after the treatment, but any redness will subside within a few hours.
Why choose to do HIFU with us?There are only a handful of HSA (Health Science Authority) approved HIFU procedures that are certified to be operated by trained clinicians. Although many beauty salons also offer ‘HIFU’ procedures, these procedures or machines are often not medical grade or HSA-approved for medical use by a trained professional. A HIFU procedure performed at beauty salons might not only yield unsatisfactory results, but could also cause more damage than benefits if performed incorrectly.

1. Refund Eligibility

We do not offer refunds for services that have been provided or completed. This includes, but is not limited to, cosmetic treatments, beauty procedures, consultations, and any other services offered by Tranquil Essence.

2. Change of Mind

If you change your mind about a booked service and wish to cancel, we require at least 24 hours notice before your scheduled appointment. In such cases, we can offer you the option to reschedule your appointment for a different date and time, subject to availability.

3. Service Dissatisfaction

While we strive to deliver exceptional service, if you are dissatisfied with the results of a completed service, we encourage you to contact us within 14 days of your appointment. We will assess your concerns and, if deemed appropriate by our team of professionals, we may offer a complimentary corrective treatment or adjustment.

4. Medical Concerns

If you experience any adverse reactions or medical concerns as a result of a service provided by Tranquil Essence, please seek immediate medical attention and inform us of the situation. We will work with you to investigate the matter and determine the appropriate course of action.

5. Product Reactions

In the event of a skin reaction or adverse response to a product used during a treatment, please contact us as soon as possible. We may request that you provide information about the specific product, your medical history, and any other relevant details to assist us in addressing the situation appropriately.

6. Force Majeure

In cases of force majeure, including but not limited to natural disasters, accidents, or other events beyond our control that result in the cancellation or disruption of scheduled services, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule your appointment at a convenient time for you.

7. Australian Consumer Law

Our refund policy is designed to comply with the Australian Consumer Law. This policy does not affect your rights and remedies under consumer protection laws.

Late Cancelation / No-Show PolicyTo better serve all our valued clients and maintain the efficiency of our services, we are implementing a new policy regarding appointment attendance. This policy aims to reduce no-shows and ensure that all clients have a fair opportunity to schedule appointments.

1. Late Cancellation/No-Show Policy:
Clients are required to cancel or reschedule their appointments at least 24 hours before the scheduled time. Failure to do so will result in the following consequences:

a. First No-Show: For the first occurrence of a no-show, the client will be charged a $25 fee.

b. Second No-Show: If a client no-shows for the second time, they will be subject to a $50 fee.

c. Third No-Show: After the third occurrence of a no-show, the client will forfeit the treatment scheduled for that day.

2. No-Show Due to Illness: In the case of a no-show due to illness, clients are required to provide a doctor's certificate or medical proof specifying the inability to attend the appointment. This certificate must be submitted before booking a new appointment to avoid the applicable fees and treatment forfeiture.

Exceptions:
In certain unavoidable circumstances, exceptions may be made to the above policy at the discretion of our management. Please communicate with us as soon as possible if you encounter such a situation.
